We have a new 8 series toyota where the mast would go down quite slowly and no will not go down at all. Has anyone found any problems in the valve body on these new units. I have heard rumors about a broken spring in the valve body but no conformation. Dealer is not helping out much. Thanks in advance.

hi wil
not many springs left in v/b are any lights on on the dash? sounds more like the opss lower solenoid... this is screwed under the v/b directly in line with the lift spool

Thanks for the input. We have a full parts diagram for the v/b. I think we might be pulling the body out on site and take it apart in our shop to check it carefully. Thanks again.

Hey Wil, Did you get it figured out? Just got a new 8FGCU30 in this week. So far so good but if it starts having this sort of problem would be good to know the remedy.
Thanks

Sounds like a problem with the safety down valve either stuck or clogged
