Does any body knows a setting for function 17 on EV100 ZH card that will allow speed reduction using inputs PA4, PA5 & PA6 and allowing Bypass contactor to operate.
I have tried setting function 17 to 2 but the speed reduction does not work, when I tried setting it to 22 I have speed reduction when negative is not present to the PA terminals, but  with negative  to all 3 terminals 1A will never pickup even if TB1 have 0 volts.

Please advice

I am not sure what you mean about setting speed reductions using pa4,5 and 6.  Normally you should be able to make the normal parameter changes to factory settings. Have you tried setting them to factory settings?  Sometimes if the card setting will not take or store correctly it could be that there is a logic fault, and in some other cases very rare though, the setting can be changed with the handset but for some reason does not store, and i have been told this stores only when programmed with the PC software.

Escol, that is the correct operation, those settings are for you to use a switch (say, mounted on the mast) to restrict top speed, and 1a (bypass contactor) automagically gives top, (full battery voltage) speed.
you can NOT have reduced speed -AND- bypass, since bypass _is_ [=] full speed.
You can set the "controlled acceleration" to a slower rate of acceleration, but bypass does just that, bypasses the controller, and provides full speed.
Your question, to me, sounds like "how can I sit down and stand up at the same time? Every time I stand up, I loose whatever I have in my lap, and my lap disappears" (big grin)

I’m doing a retrofit, I need the truck to be able to go into full speed when steering is straight and the carriage is under 24” (I got sensors to read that), then reduce speed (by not allowing bypass contactor to close) if the carriage is raised or the steering is at an angle.

OK, now I understand, is there any way you can rig a relay to see the sensors at the 24 inch switch? and add switches for the steering? maybe you might want to see how Mitsubishi (which used to use EV100 in their order pickers) had their settings for their order pickers??

mitsu reach/orderpickers with ev100 also use an interface card
aside from that it looks like (depending on the control panel setup 1rec) your setting 17 should be between 20 and 39

also you set your speed limits with function 11,12,13
function 11 sets speed limit from sw1 at pa6
from 96%(setting 0) to 0% (setting 180) of battery volts

the switch should be wired from pa6 to a Normally Closed switch to B-
when the switch opens and the path to B- is interrupted speed limit is engaged

setting 12 is the same as 11 only signal is from sw2 to pa4
setting 13 is the same as 11 only signal is from sw3 to pa5

got an email? i have the GE manual for ev100zx on PDF its generic so its a lil easier to use
