Operators bypassed them and chased one another with the alarm blaring playing cops and robbers.Took them less time to bypass than to turn the key.We had to take them off after about 2 months and eat the cost to keep customer happy. Now I flat tell everyone to run from them.
I however am not a big fan of any aftermarket junk that upgrads forklifts.Name products withstanding IE Cascade ect.

We run our whole fleet on them.

Managers quickly tired of resetting impact alarms, and simply gave their codes out so the operators could do it themselves.

All the impact sensors have now been disabled. I personally witnessed a unit think it experienced a 9.5G impact while parked in the refueling station.

They really don't like low batteries. (there is an option for an internal capacitor to help)
The relay modules are completley sealed, so any issues means replacing the whole thing (and I've had issues...).

I also feel that the technology is dated. (If you disect the controller, you'll find an old single layer PCB, all pin solderied)

I've started converting the fleet over to the Speedshield Fleetweigh system.
They are a beautiful unit. You can add all kinds of options later on. (ie. scales, speed controls, tallying etc.)

I'm currently installing one on a Fortis truck, that actually interfaces with the canbus system on the truck! The harness is plug and play, it can be accessed through the display, or via wireless and a web browser.
I have them operating off hid-prox card readers, so no sharing passwords.
The checklist randomly moves the checkmark to differnt buttons, so you can't just push the same button over and over.

I can't say enough good things about them.
The only issue I've ever had, is 1 frozen display, and all I had to do was unplug the display and plug it back in.

Before you commit to keytroller, give speedshield a look.
You'll be impressed with the expandability of the system.

And no I don't work for them at all :-)

I deal with a customer that has 40 of the units.  They did not install the impact senors because they were such a pain in the neck.  Most plant managers gave out the codes so they would not have to chase them.  For the most part I would agree with everyone else, they are just a waste of time and money.  They are very tempermntal and do not like low battery voltage.  I had to do a lot of hard restarts in order to get them to function.
