Discussion:  CAT GP18 manual? Which oil?

Hello!
I'm the happy (well...) owner of a 1997 CAT GP18 (LPG), unfortunately it came without manual. This is our first lift, we're just starting a trading company and have zero experience in the forklift field. And, because of lacking funds we bought it from an owner rather than a dealer, and hope we made a good catch for this one at 4000€ (US$5000) with only 5800 hours on the meter.

I humbly ask for your advice and experience, the hydraulic oil level is low, can I level it out with standard hydraulic oil used also in tractors? Any ideas where I could find a manual?

Thanks a million!!

We use a AW32 grade oil in Canada. Just a heads up when checking oil levels. Make sure the  unit is parked on level ground, Engine off, forks all the way down. If you over fill the hydraulic tank it can be a messy clean up
