Is there a source for non-oem forklift dealers to acquire forklift diagnostic software for electric and IC forklifts?

crown, clark, toyota, hyster, yale, mitsubishi,...etc.   Any and all would be a good start but essentially I would be interested in all sources eventually.  What every help you can provide, I would appreciate.

Hi Peter,
some manufacturers use industry-standard components as Zapi, Curtis or GE. In this case, diagnostic tools are available through your component dealer. In case of Linde or Jungheinrich CAN for example it is very difficult. There must be someone who builds tools for those, but I also don`t know where to search. Maybe TVH in belgium has something available. I was lucky to get my Jungheinrich console through the internet. I would be glad to here from anyone who knows more about it.

Hi Peter

The diagnostic tools are available through TVH with part numbers. I have the ones for Linde but the diagnostic equipment is useless with out the technical manuals. I have seen customers puchase truckdoctor but there are costs involved for the use of it and it is not a master version. The diagnostic unit is not required for the toyota ie Generation 7 as this can be carried out using a combination of the tilt button and adjustment with in the diagnostic box. I have a copy of the linde diagnostic system for lap top, but requires access code and up dates which I can not access. The can box and leads are available at a reasonable cost.

ALL dealers will sell you their software.
It's just a question of price.

The Hyster dealer I currently work for has a bizarre policy of selling the software and mauals at our normal parts markup.

They'll sell to anybody.

UPDATE...

Oops, spoke too soon...

Shyster has stopped us from selling software and adapters anymore.

I guess that makes us the new raymond :-)

It's a crap policy, but I'm sure some software might leak out onto the internet...

I know from working with Jungheinrich that they moved all their tech documents onto CD format then with later software versions the cd installation on the pc expired after a certain date and you had to generate a code from your PC and email that to the office who would then use your code to generate an unlock code to send back to you to unlock the diagnostic software and the service manuals, the last service handbooks i had was for the reach trucks and the first of the ece20 Ac versions.
Unless they have started to sell the software or you know someone who is willing to risk getting fired to get you a copy I think your going to struggle to get information on the modern diagnostic software as the big players are using it to limit other fork lift companies working on their machines.

I'm going through this software thing right now also. Hyster and Cat are the worst. I have found that you can use the same BDM HDM whatever you want to call the diagnostic monitor for lots of diferent trucks depending on the engine. The adapters are the hard thing to come up with. My HDM is set up for the niss K21 and 25's engines. It is through TCM but it will work on anything with the K21 and 25's. It's about $3500usd. When I find the adapters for it I will get back with ya'll. But in the mean time friends at different dealers help right.
