Still R25-025 Direction contactors do not close

Hi any one got any pointers, I have a Still R25-025 Ser No 25130169 1991 (yes its an old one). The fault is direction contctors do not close, when you select a direction and operate the foot pedal the Regen contactor closes but direction doesn't (either direction), any suggestions and any diagrams would be appreciated.

Hi Shane,

the R25 is essentially an old R60 SCR machine, i would think there is a problem on the commutation side - check if SCRs capacitor etc are ok. Also check the heat sinks for earth leakage, no STILL likes earth leakage...

Thanks for the reply, I am happy that you mentioned the R60 connection. My customer brought me a R25 logic with a burnt out resistor, I replaced the resistor and told him to check out the traction current sensor. then he brought me the complete traction panel for repair, as you say its very similar to the R60 controller but even though I have an R60 manual there are are some differences like there is an extra module for the direction inputs. If you have a diagram I would really appreciate it.
