Hello, our forklift has been working fine and then stopped moving forward or backward. We have had trouble finding anyone to work on it since it is so old. Also cant find the correct schematic so the one guy we had working on it could find the problem. It has power and still clicks when you press the accelerator, but wont move.(you can manually make it move by pressing the contact down.

The serial number is L1820-2067 and the sales order # is 84874. It is a Baker electric model FTD-025, and we are in Pinellas county in Florida. Does anyone know about these older lifts and/or have info about someone in my area to fix it relatively inexpensive. We are a small business and we dont use it alot, but it is great for what we need.

This forklift truck is actually fairly easy to diagnose. If the drive motor works by manually pressing in the contactor, the mostl likely problems are that the accelerator potentiometer is bad, a cable to the drive motor is cut or the interlock switch on the forward or reverse contactor is stuck or bad.
Have you tried contacting your local Linde dealer. Linde bought out Baker several years ago.
