I have designed a trainee hours log that I feel meets with current australian legislation.ie date, hours, trainee's signature, licenced operators name and signature, and licence  number. Is there any orther requirements that I may need to comply.

Calvin,
There is a logbook on the Queensland Health & safety site that you can download.
You may not need all the information that it contains but it will steer you in the right direction.
Best of luck

dont forget the type of machine "Crown", Class "2.5t" rego number of the machine, or serial number off the data plate. The one from the QLD Division of Health and Safety is a start, but they missed a colum for the hrs, you will also need a colour passport photos - one is to be attached in the back of the logbook
cheers, best of luck
