If it is E-33, that is second step overheat. Check that fan belt is in good condition, try the bleeder screw on top of waterpump housing. any air trapped in the housing will prevent proper circulation of coolant.

in the future, on MCFA products, if as you say "I can't figure out what it would be from", the manufacturer includes a list of error codes and a short description in the operation and maintenance manual (OM&M) included with each truck, and usually stored behind the operators seat, on about page 102 or so.

Carl_v is absolutely correct, but as this is a "second stage" overheat, I would also suggest that you tell your operators that when the red MIL light comes on and the machine slows down (which happens as it "first stage" over heats, at a somewhat relatively cooler temperature), it is time to let the engine cool off and figure out then why it is getting so hot, not just keep pushing it. (and call the service techs in at that point)
I would also instruct the operator to stop resting his foot on the far left (A.K.A. "inching") pedal, as that is causing a slipping of the transmission that is generating heat.
