I would give the guys at Minnesota lift truck a call, they still advertise in some trade papers as having white lift truck parts and services
Phone (763) 425-9066
this line comes up in a google search for them; "is a full service forklift dealership for Toyota, Prime-Mover, Taylor-Dunn Equipment, and White Lift Truck sales, parts..."
they even have an e-mail "ask the tech" webpage;

Rod,
Sometimes eBay will have owners manuals listed. As mentioned by Ed MLT is about the only source left for parts other than SMH. That machine uses a Continental F163 engine. The trans and lube filter are both a B114 if memory serves me correctly. You have to remove the engine lubefilter to access the spin on trans filter. Both are within the rear left wheel well. One of the features/ benefits of the MA50 was the hydrolizer rear suspension. These are two hydraulic cylinders that are joined together by a tube. They are partially filled with oil. One goes up and the other goes down. This replaces an axle beam. If the oil leaks out the rear of the machine drops down and will possibly will spin the drive tire on uneven concrete.
I worked for the White dealership in Baton Rouge in the early 80's and may be able to offer answers to questions you may have.

Rod,
you can use any Dextron for the trans and in the hydraulic tank. The hydraulic tank is integral to the frame and should have a plug at the bottom of the frame or to the inside at the bottom. Sometimes the plug takes a 3/8 ratchet or an Allen wrench. I don't remember on the trans, but onceyou get the machine lifted look for the lowest area on the case and if you find a plug there you have a winner. I am almost positive the differential and trans are unitized, sharing the same oil. If that is the case you will also need topull the plug at the bottom of the differential to get allof the oil out. The trans dip stick is beside the accelerator pedal. Lift the mast and if you don't see a level plug on the front of the differential case it is unitized.

Thanks, That should get me started on maintenance.

When lifting the first stage on the main cylinder will stay down until the first stage is up then it shoots up. Not shire if thats normal.

Another problem I'm having with the lifting cylinder is it sticks in the middle of the first stage when lowering. Must ram it 3 times to force it down. Note shear if its just because its low on fluid or bent.

Rod,
Seems to me that Cascade built that mast for White. If I am correct there MAY be a staging adjustment that can be made to have the cylinders extend small to large. Some of the other techs here may have some ideas.
So far as ramming it to go down- if you have a load on the forks will it drop ok? That mast had so much chain in it that without forks on it you almost couldn't get it to drop. Check the free lift slides that run in the rear of the inner channel. Greasing may help.

I'm thinking sow but I haven't had a load past the sticky point and not shire when I will have the time to test.

Check the free lift slides that run in the rear of the inner channel.

I checked most of the slides and they where all free as fare as I now. It sounds like the sticking is probably a miner thing that I will add to the list of things to fix.

Thanks again,

I have a owners manual for the MA30-40-50-60. It's 46 pages and more like a mini service manual. I can put it on E Bay if you like.

What are you asking for it?

Is it OEM or a copy?

What condition is it in?

All pages there?
