open all the way - you might starve the engine of fuel otherwise.

for the longest time it was advised to open the valve all the way and engage the backseat seal, however
the most recent concern and now advice from labour board inspectors is to only open the valve halfway since this will give you more time to close it incase of emergency
a halfway open valve may or may not leak a little and there is no solid legislation stating what is proper to do
buy a diesel.........only kidding
