I have a 1983 Datsun CPF02 5k forklift that I just recently got.  I lifted an axle of a trailer last night a noticed that the Mast would slowly tilt forward with the weight on it.  The axle weighs about 500lbs.  I'm very new to forklifts and just wanted to get an idea of what I should look at first to resolve the problem.  Bad seal or valve maybe?

Thx.

It is probably a tilt piston packing blown

Reseal both tilt cylinders. And I only say both because hydraulics work like electricity it takes the path of least resistance. Reseal both at one time and minimize future down time.
