Not looked at this truck yet but can you slow these down so operator cant change through dash? Also has anyone had pump failures with this unit?

you are far more likely to have a clogged up relief valve in the main hydraulic control valve or motor turning too slow than a pump problem but there have been some. (not many) be sure you have an A/C clamp on amp gage when you go to check it out, to insure the amps are good, as well as the pressure.
As I remember it, with the laptop (or the D-R-S switch), you can either set all the setups for a slower speed, or you can set the unit up as an EE unit and that will prevent higher speed, and higher amps on a ramp, and prevent the changing of the speed with the dash
