Discussion:  Stock Picker for low (mid?) bay (16') rack

I'm looking for a solution for piece parts picking in mid level rack.  The ideal truck would reach 15' to 16', weigh less than 1500 lbs, and have a fall protection solution that didn't require wearing a harness.  The normal load that would be transported would always be less than 500 lbs.

Any ideas?

The closest match I can see is the Wave truck from Crown.  The work height will reach up to 195" (just over 16') and it weighs 1225 lbs.   This also has a fall protection solution without a harness, but it will not allow you to pick 500 lbs at a time.   The load tray capacity is 200 lbs and the load deck is 250 lbs.   For more information, go to the crown.com website and follow the products link.

we have a JLG ssv10, the perfect size for your needs. Unfortunately JLG has a lemon here. $17,000 new.....in 2 yrs we've replaced both drive motors, the joystick control, and now the main control panel. we have spent about $5,000 in replacement parts and labor on this picker and JLG has refused communication with our dealer to resolve any of these problems and concerns. I would caution you to look at something manufactured from some one other than JLG.
