A memorial for former forklift dealer Thomas Caughell, 73, was held on 14 January at the Vashon Island Golf and Country Club in Vashon, Washington.
Caughell was involved in the forklift business for 32 years before he retired. He died at home on 4 January after experiencing health issues for more than a year.
Caughell bought the Seattle, Washington-based Clarklift forklift dealership for Washington State and Alaska in 1982 and sold the business to Darr FMH Material Handling Solutions Inc in 2002.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia, three children and nine grandchildren.
Caughell and his family moved in 1979 to Vashon, the largest island in Puget Sound south of the Admiralty Inlet, which is accessible only by ferry.
