New poultry handling truck
United KingdomCargotec UK Ltd will launch the LR30.3, its latest Hiab Moffett truck-mounted forklift for handling live poultry in the yard, at the Pig & Poultry Show at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, on 15-16 May.
The 3 T capacity truck has been designed to "reduce product damage during the loading/unloading process and delivers a long duty cycle, whatever the working conditions".
It has a 3.3 m (10.8 ft.) lifting height and a 60 hp Kubota engine.
Nexen's new range
Lowestoft, United KingdomNexen will introduce new models to its "X" range.
The new compact cushion-tyre forklifts will initially be available for load capacities between 2,000 kg - 3,500 kg (4,000 lb. - 7,000 lb.). Later models will include capacities up to 15,000 lb. With their slim-line counterweight design, these new forklifts can work in narrower aisles while retaining their key characteristics.
Faresin launches telehandlers
Paris, FranceFaresin Industries launched a revamped line of its telehandlers at the International Expo for Equipment and Techniques for the Construction and Materials Industry (Intermat) in Paris last month.
This includes the smallest machine, the "6.25 Wallaby" and the larger Storm 22.45 rotating telehandler that can lift up to 45 quintals.
New models 10.50 Edile HS and 17.40 Edile have a modern and aggressive look due to a newly designed bonnet and a new frame.
New chain for large forklifts
Letchworth, United KingdomFB Chain Ltd has launched a new range of chain for container handlers and large capacity forklifts working around ports and terminals.
The SuperEndurance (SE) chain can "withstand the impact of shock loading and the kind of corrosive working conditions encountered at ports". The company says tests have shown the chain offers 25% greater fatigue strength and 50% lower wear rate than standard chain.
Barloworld extends range
Maidenhead, United KingdomBarloworld Handling has added the Solideal brand to its range of industrial tyres, which also includes compounds from Michelin and Continental.
The company says the extended offering means its customers now have a wider choice to meet their application needs and budgets.
