ProgressiveTraction wins FinOvation Award
Trelleborg, SwedenTrelleborg's ProgressiveTraction technology will be honoured with a FinOvation Award during the upcoming Farm Machinery show, which will take place from 11-14 February in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
Piero Mancinelli, R&D director, agricultural and forestry tyres at Trelleborg Wheel Systems, says: "Being named 'Machine of the year' at Agritechnica 2013, 'Silver Ears 2013' at Agribex 2013, and now winning the Farm Industry (News) readers' choice award, FinOvation, speaks volumes."

ProLift donates to food bank
Lexington, KY, United StatesGod's Pantry Food Bank has received the donation of a refurbished electric forklift from ProLift Industrial Equipment at its Lexington headquarters.
Late in 2014, ProLift asked its employees to suggest non-profit organisations that might benefit from the donation of one of their items. Sales representative Pete Sackleh suggested the Food Bank and contacted its staff for input.
Once ProLift had narrowed the nominees, the company's 300-plus employees were given the opportunity to vote, and Kentucky's largest food bank received the most votes.
Jarrod Tramont, central operations manager, chose a Toyota electric forklift from the company's inventory as a good potential donation because of its low miles and good condition. The forklift was delivered on 8 January.
Agilon wins award
Hyvinkää, FinlandThe Konecranes Agilon materials management solution has won the Quality Innovation award in the large company category in The Quality Innovation Award of the Year competition.
Introduced in 2013, Agilon is an innovative materials inventory and management system that rapidly and automatically stores, picks and replenishes items weighing up to 25 kg (55 lb.), using a robot to handle component transfers. This system enables inventories to stay up to date and ensures that the right components find their way to the right places at the right time.
Competition organiser Laatukeskus Excellence Finland is a national non-profit organisation dedicated to performance improvement.
In 2014, Konecranes' Agilon won the Red Dot Award: Product Design for its design quality, as well as the Fennia Prize Honorary Mention 2014 for its innovative and responsible design

Materials handling firm certified
Leighton Buzzard, United KingdomEuropean Handling Equipment (EHE) has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification.
The ISO 9001:2008 certification was achieved following the company's completion of several administrative and structural stages, including the production of a procedures manual that details the operation of all EHE's management procedures. Topics covered by the manual include management responsibilities, sales, purchasing, order processing, systems and personnel management.
Within these areas, EHE was required to document operations ranging from sales enquiry handling to order delivery and from stock control to personnel training.
Recognised globally, ISO 9001:2008 certification confirms that quality management systems are in place to ensure that procedures and processes followed by an organisation meet the highest possible standards.
