Chaintec, the country's leading leaf chain supplier servicing the forklift truck replacement market, has announced a new direct delivery service for all its chain products. The new service, called Chaintec Direct, will see Chaintec delivering orders direct to their customer's engineer, so eliminating the time needed to visit a trade counter.

In response to changing customer needs, Chaintec will take their chains direct to the customer and so cut out the traditional trade counter. The new service has been launched so customers can reduce both delivery time and engineers' downtime travelling to and from trade counters. Chaintec Direct is the latest piece in Chaintec's onsite services portfolio which now includes onsite chain identification, fast ordering, direct delivery and chain fitting.

All Chaintec engineers working on customer sites are fully qualified and work to current health and safety directives, including working at height, for complete peace of mind. Chaintec Direct takes the time and effort out of the chain ordering process and chain is delivered direct to customer site on the same day, for orders placed before 12 noon.

This new streamlined approach revolutionises the way chain is supplied, reducing over-heads and turnaround times and increasing productivity. Engineers can now concentrate on the job in hand, leaving Chaintec to identify, order, deliver and fit replacement chains, reinforcing Chaintec's 'the right chain, first time' philosophy.

Dave Hassan, Managing Director at Chaintec says, "We are always looking at ways of making our services more efficient for our customers. We had identified a need amongst Forklift Sales, Service & Hire Companies for a direct service that offered chain identification right through to chain supply on-site, same day and so Chaintec Direct was born."

To service increased demand generated by Chaintec Direct, the company plans to extend its stock holdings at its logistics facilities in The Midlands. Having been successfully piloted in the West Midlands, Chaintec Direct will be extended to a national network of mobile engineers during 2010 and 2011.

Full details of Chaintec Direct will be available on the Chaintec stand 20G20 at IMHX 2010 (www.imhx.biz). The exhibition runs from Tuesday 16th to Friday 19th November 2010 and is being held at the N.E.C in Birmingham, UK.
