Using their unique Laser Grinder process, Concrete Grinding upgrade floor flatness in narrow aisle warehouses to allow the safe and efficient use of the VNA forklift trucks. TVH-Group Thermote & Vanhalst: Headquarters have started with large scale parts move Thursday, 17 June 2004 TVH-group Thermote & Vanhalst (www.tvh.be) - market leader in the distribution of forklift parts - has begun moving forklift parts to a new site in Waregem.
Olathe-based Systems Material Handling Co (www.smhco.com) is moving from its current 130,000 square foot facility by September, 2005, to a new facility 2 miles away.

Meclift introduces the new variable reach truck ML 1200RP Thursday, 10 June 2004 Oy Meclift Ltd, a Finnish manufacturer of variable reach trucks and side reach stackers, has launched the ML 1200RP for jumbo paper rolls.
The ML 1200RP is Meclift's response to handling large paper reels. The ML 1200RP has a telescopic twin boom configuration with an integrated multiple arm rotatable clamp. The machine is capable of an 8 tonne lift to a clamp centre height of 5 metres and has an outreach of 1.85 m.

CELLEX POWER PRODUCTS TO TRIAL HYDROGEN FUEL CELLS AT WAL-MART Thursday, 27 May 2004 Cellex Power™ has announced that a Wal-Mart subsidiary will field trial Cellex's fuel cell products for electric forklifts.
President Chris Reid said "Lead acid batteries typically last only 4 to 8 hours. A depleted battery is replaced with a freshly charged battery 2 to 3 times a day, reducing productivity and increasing costs." Reid added "our hydrogen fuel cell products increase productivity and decrease operational costs, produce zero harmful emissions and will possess additional environmental benefits."

LASER FLOOR GRINDING SPEEDS IKEA DELIVERIES Thursday, 29 April 2004 The Concrete Grinding Group has brought significant efficiency increases at an Ikea distribution centre in Spain.
The 75,000sqm building includes a 20,000sqm area should have been laid to DIN 15185 floor flatness standards, but a profileograph survey found the floor did not meet the standard.
Using two LaserGrinder machines, Concrete Grinding formed 380mm-wide wheel tracks in each of the 24 126-metre-long aisles. Vacuums on the machines minimised dust so the warehouse operate normally.
