EBLO LAUNCHES NEW FORKLIFT SEAT TECHNOLOGY Thursday, 15 May 2003 EBLO Seating has released a low-profile forklift seat with suspension and a foldable backrest.
The MGV 25 has a retractable seat belt and interchangeable cushions, with optional armrests, a headrest or seat contact switch.
The upgraded LGV 25 features air suspension and an integrated 12-volt compressor.
The MGV 25 features:

CASCADE LAUNCHES REVAMPED USA WEBSITE Thursday, 24 April 2003 Cascade Corporation recently unveiled a new Americas website at www.cascorp.com that offers more functionality to lift truck dealers.
Registered users can now check the status of their web orders, review order history and maintain multiple addresses. Parts managers will find parts ordering faster because descriptions and prices are populated automatically.
Under Support/Service Literature, a search feature offers multiple ways to sort through 1,000 parts, service, installation manuals and more. Additional manuals will be added regularly.
In the Products section, Cascade has included video clips of some products, with bandwidth options.

RONCARI SINGLE DOUBLE ATTACHMENTS SELECTED BY OI CANADA Thursday, 27 February 2003 Roncari USA and Unit Load Handling Systems, Inc. have been selected by Owens Illinois Canada Ltd. to supply the Roncari UFB model multi-pallet handler forklift attachments for all its Canadian operations.
One challenge was to eliminate troublesome air cylinders and extra hydraulic functions from OI’s previous machines. OI determined Roncari was the superior product.

CASCADE HIRES JACOBS AS NEW TERRITORY MANAGER Thursday, 20 February 2003 Cascade Corporation has hired Danny Jacobs as Territory Manager, responsible for Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Western Tennessee.
Jacobs has 27 years experience in Material Handling sales and sales management, and lives in the Memphis area with his wife, Lisa. He will maintain a home office.
Jacobs replaces Ralph Dixon, who was promoted to Regional Sales Manager, overseeing Cascade's Territory Managers in central and western USA. He will also maintain some Strategic Accounts and serve central Arkansas as Territory Manager.

BLIZZARD DISRUPTS BUSINESS Thursday, 20 February 2003 Lexington, Kentucky has been suffering from a severe winter ice storm, which has caused an power loss to Clark Material Handling Company from Sunday, Feb 16. More than 70,000 residents have lost power, with significant ice damage, falling trees, traffic lights out, accidents, etc.
The Clark Parts Distribution Center in Louisville, Kentucky is operating at normal strength, however, the email ordering system has been interrupted. All parts orders should be faxed to 502-966-2343. All Clark contacts will be notified as soon as power is restored at Clark.

FORKLIFT TRAINING NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE Thursday, 12 December 2002 OSHA rules (29CFR1910.178(L)) require employers to properly train forklift operators.
Occupational Safety and Health Consultants, Inc. (OSHC) has created two online safety courses: Frk101 for Counterbalance Sit-down Rider Lift Trucks; and Frk105 for Narrow Aisle Lift Trucks (Rough Terrain Lift Trucks coming soon).
Both courses can be downloaded or studied online. After a theory and practical exam is completed, a personalized certificate and wallet card, valid for three years, is presented. All courses, combining three hours of theory and practical study, can be conducted on-site.
