A paper recycling company has been fined following the death of a worker who was thrown from a forklift truck. The fine follows a January 2013 accident in which Mohammed Yasin died after a forklift overturned while he was working at Wolverhampton-based Recycle Paper UK. Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court was told Yasin was using the forklift to carry a 980 kg load. Demag has recently picked up a couple of significant orders, supplying cranes to France, Croatia and Poland. In a substantial fleet expansion, leading French crane provider Mediaco has ordered 25 new Demag all-terrain cranes: 20 of the AC 55-3, two AC 100-4, two AC 160-5 and one AC 130-5. After some positive results by other European manufacturers, Haulotte Group has reported a 15% fall in operating income for the 2016 financial year despite increased revenue. Revenue reached EUR457.8 million (USD486.5 million), up from EUR445.3 million (USD473.2 million) in 2015.
