Inside Contact the Forkliftaction team
Of course, everyone likes a happy ending, so it was something of a relief when two UK forklift bodies put aside their differences and issued a joint statement about forklift apprenticeships. Readers may recall that there was a bit of a misunderstanding when the British Industrial Truck Association (BITA) claimed exclusivity with a new apprenticeship initiative, apparently snubbing the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA). Well, as we read this week, the two bodies are mounting a united front. Some would say common sense is prevailing as both organisations realise the real target of their attention should be the skills shortage. Let’s hope the unity produces significant outcomes.

"The trick to removing sulphation IS deep cycling of the battery. This forces sulphation out off of the plates and softens them enough so they can be discharged to capacity. What I see here is nothing new.".

"Have to agree the picture gives the wrong impression. However most forklift advertisements show incorrect procedures even when the manufacturers have very good training support. It is one of the annoying things that this industry continually supports. Doubt if EP will change".
